Change in work
One year ago, my boss wanted me to shift to SNS to help him when he promoted to in charge of this banner also. Finally, one year later, he empolyed one to replace me in Giant. So I started to work in SNS banner on 4 April.
SNS is a chained supermarket which started to be under Giant's management from 2 years ago. After this change, the P&L is being review separately, instead of combined to analyze like before with coldstorage. It showed that it is loss making business when stand alone.
I heard of a lot of reasons of it. For example: poor discipline, too much gossip, politics, inexperience staffs etc.
Now, it is time for me to expose to the environment to know the truth, analyse and contribute to the business. I have to help in turning over the business, otherwise, I may not have bonus next year ><
I used to do the checklist and guidelines by myself. Now, I have to manage my 2 fresh specialists, i.e. develop my own team. Like my boss said, I have to manage people from now on, instead of doing the things by myself.
It is a great challenge, but I am not afraid of that. As I never afraid of failing in work, I can restart at any point but just make sure I try my best and do something meaningful for the people, the company to enjoy the work.
And I think it is the good timing to have such change. I was in Giant for 4 years and I have developed my team in certain extend. So the routine would become boring sometimes.
So even the future is unclear, there would be bad and tough times. I wanted to have such move!
