Ron Photo visit on 25~26.9.07

Ron Photo is the board member of Dairy Farm. He came to store visit on 25~26.9.07 in two regions. There are 3 key stores to be visited- Abids Superstore, Whitefiled FW store and MG Road Gourmet store. I always think that it is soooooo difficult to keep the standard and present well in all these 3 stores and involving another region. Of course, I still do my best to coordinate, to arrange, to lift the standard.
Today, Almen and I station in MG Road to ensure the standard there. When I was rearranging the stock of import cheese before store open. I found a dead mouse 5 feet away from me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I screamed and run away!!!!!!!! So scary.....
Luckily, concessionaires are quite supportive with stock and cooperative. The store looks really good. Though we did have some issues in own product supply, quality etc, we think of methods to fix them all.
Moreover, Almen is the ' mother of Gourmet'. She put a lot of effort in that store, not only for the VIP visit. Of course, today, she put extra. She is detail minded, smart, requesting, efficient, coaching.
Thus, we did a quite good job in Gourmet.
Finally, these three stores seemed to be having good impression to the important visitors. However, I prefer to do more for pushing the business as a whole or across the company, instead of individual stores.
As I used to sit for long long time. My legs and myself is very tired now.

Mid Autumn Festival in India

While you may be having dinner with family or have BBQ with friends in the Mid Autumn Festival in HK, I am having dinner with Almen, MrsYum ( Irene) at Leela Palace Hotel.

Tonight, it is cloudy in Bangalore. I can have a glance of full moon.

Dinner at Simon's home

Tonight, we went to Simon's home for dinner. There are two purposes. 1. Farewell Kevin and Woody, they are leaving India back to Singapore and Thailand on 27/9 and 1/10 respectively. 2. Browse Simon's apartment, we may shift there!!!
In fact, we were just bothering them. They cooked for us, provided cake and wine for us. And handled the trouble of dropping of glass of wine!!! Sorry and thank you.....

Hyd visit - Part II - Work

Friends ' feel' that Almen and I are just traveling together for a long time, however, we are actually working hard in India. I seldom shared my 'harsh' work in my blog. Let me share something this time.

For the top management - Ron Photo visit on 25/9/07, we made this trip to prepare for it.We took 2 days trip as I want to have something really happened in that superstore - Abids, not just checking, before I went back to Bangalore.

We visited on 14/9 and I gave the instruction for my Fresh department. Let see what have changed on 15/9:

1) Ice-cream freezer has no ticketing, stock still inside the carton box on 14/9. Next day, ticketing is there, stock has neatly displayed. Good!

2) Due to poor sales of fresh juice counter, it stopped and keeps a chiller empty. Next day, it is filled with other drink stock.

3) In the back up chiller, you can find ice-cream storing with butter!!!!!! RIDICULOUS!! Next day, it put it back to freezer. But there are still other products having the same mistakes!!!! :<

4) Bulk stack is properly heaped on the next day!!!

Ganesh Chaturthi - Hindu Festival

Almen and I went to Hyderabad for store visit to prepare for the Ron Photo visit on 25/9/07 there.
First of all, let me share our relaxing time.
We found there is Marriott Hotel. At night, we went there to have dinner. There is buffet restaurant called Kora. There is a Beijing Chef who is demonstrating noodle making! The price is not very high. It costs us ~750Rs ( ~150HKD) per person.
On the way back to our Economic Hotel, we found there are elephant god statue on the road. We dropped and took some photos. It is a Hindu Festival called Ganesh Chaturthi. During the festival, people buy the statue back to home and do workship of the elephant god and after ~10 days, they will put the statue into the river. On my birthday Part II

As I need to save AL, I work on my birthday and there are much work for me also. Anyway, the day is quite smooth and now I am at home at 7:30pm. Where are you???
In addtion to the toaster, Eric has given me the real gift - Indian style wood box for accessory.
Almen made Sushi yesterday night and we had in the next day. Yummy.... but she said she will add more vinegar to the rice...hehehe.....

Almen enjoy the life in India better than me.

She got her bargain- wooden table, she enjoy her cooking. She is preparing SUSHI!!! Yeah I can eat tmr!!!

On my birthday

The day has finally come. I am getting one year older!!! Almen has given me a surprsie birthday cake, gift - 'our favourite Japanese drama sound track' and card. However, I am having moisture mask when I entre the study room, so my face is a little shining !!!!! Anyway, thanks a lot! Almen. You did help me a lot to pass the tough time here.

Birthday Gift

My birthday is coming. It is a sensitive day when getting older.
But it is sweet for people who care about my birthday, send greeting or prepare something for me.
My first gift is from my parent before I left HK in August. Again, it is more meaningful to me now.
Second one I received tonight from Mr and Mrs Yum. It is my favourite ANNA SUI - scarf and a well designed card holder, as well as a cute card with very good greeting words! I love it so much!
What would be the next?

Birthday + BBQ + Mid Autumn Festival Night

It was a busy and crowdy night! All of us celebrated for Simon & my birthday, Mid Autumn Festival, had BBQ party. The lantern is so cute which is from Teresa's family and the Moon cake is from HK bought by me.

Passage from my friend that I would like to share

I am back to home for only two weeks!

Time passes so fast. Two weeks already vanished. I have great time in HK and Japan.
6 months away from home, I miss my family, my friends, HK and Japan so much. The feeling of missing is much stronger than before.

After doing the hair styling right after arriving HK, I have dinner with my family. The chat is interesting and I enjoyed very much, though they still tear at me as I am still fat!
I met friends as many as possible from day and night. Despite feeing the muscle pain, my spirit is so refresh when I met them.

An important purpose to come back in August is for Jacky Cheung's concert! The songs are more touching with his fantastic live performance. Especially those old songs, I felt that I really grow with his songs and it recalled me a lot of memory. A surprise is that he still can recognize me as he asked me ' are you still working in Wellcome?' when I shake hands with him at exit after the show. Though it means that he did not read my letters over this one year to know my update. Anyway, I have given him my new name card. I am just an innocent fan in front of him!

Another purpose is to go to Japan to enjoy the firework festival in Summer. My dream is to enjoy the firework with my Yukata which I bought last April. My Japanese friend, Yuri helped me a lot in it to find the festival place, dressing up. She also spent as mush as possble time with me to have different foods and we chatted a lot!
This Japan trip, I can meet old friends like my sensei , Mami, Karin, Ai and Ako. I got their update news and visit special place e.g. Greece island decoration restaurant.
In Japan, I ate Sabu Sabu, Sushi, Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Cold Soba, Unagi Don, softy ice-cream, big, sweet, tasty peaches......
In Hong Kong, I ate Japanese food, Dim Sum, Congee, Glutinous rice roll, Siu Mai, Pumpkin dish from Bonnie.......
