New Zealand trip by Zespri again!

I am so lucky to have NZ trip again to enjoy the beautiful sky, food, exciting activities, meeting friends. 
I enjoy every part of it. Though some programmes may be similar, but I was not bored at all. Simple things like seeing the beautiful sky, luxury things like hotels and food, exciting things like climbing the bridge, normal things like visiting orchard, I enjoy every part of it with the tour members there. And I am happy that I was able to meet my own friend there or know new friends.

Movies in flight

With Singapore Airline, there are plenty of different variety of movies for entertainment, especially for the 10 hours flight!!!

There are some I was impressed.

I was touched by this love story of old couple with beautiful scenery of Japan.
I think it reminds Japanese, who contributes their lives to their job and society, should not neglect their loved ones in their daily life also.
I don't like Japanese not expressing themselves enough, but I also repect that they have such tolerance and patience, in order to focus on their job or society.

2)  A Happy Event

It talks about the impact to the emotion, the love relationship with the pregnancy and after giving birth. I think it is not suitable for those who have not given birth or in pregnancy since it may give worry to their stage. The movie describes all the impact to the mother which involves sadness and happiness. Luckily, it is a happy ending. It is a great movie.

SNS store visits

Yesterday, Norman called for store visit tour, even I supposed to be off, I had to join. But it is good chance to be with the operation manager team to visit stores together as I newly join this banner.

It started with famous noodles breakfast at Hougang Green, however, I am not interested in that kind of concentrated food >< and have to get up so early!!!

Another enjoyable trips in Japan and Hong Kong

Because of Jovi's wedding on 23 March, I arranged holiday from 9 to 26 March to visit my sweet homes with discount ticket of only 570 SGD.
There are so many reasons for me to visit Japan again and again, whenever I have holidays in these years.
First of all, there are dearest friends in Japan that I would like to spend time with. And they are so sweet to make me feel I am very much welcomed. It just makes me feel like home in that place.
It seems to have magic between Japan and me. This is the first place that I visited in overseas by flight. The first place that I saw snowing. A lot of first time happened there. And starting from the delegation held by Rotaract club, I was home host by Ai and Ako, and Mami, now by Tomoko and Keisuke. I am able to get very close to Japanese.
People may look for new places to travel, but every time I will go Japan. Actually, every time, I still find new places to visit, new scenes, new things, new excitment and new friends to meet.
In Japan,
First time I saw the plum blossom. I never know there is plum blossom in Japan.
First time, I visited Nabananosato near Nagoya where I can see a lot beautiful flowers and light up.
First time, I went to Takmatsu to know new friends including a kid who is so intelligent, detail minded, cute.
First time, I joined the Tea Ceremony. I got to know more about the spirit of tea ceremony also. And I like the balance between the very very sweet desert and the macha.
First time, I listened to the wooden strings concert that was touching.
In different conversation with different Japanese friends, they are kind, positive, cheerful. I always gain energy from them to get myself move forward in life.

In Hong Kong,
I am glad that I can witness my good friend's happiness in her wedding. Knowing her love's up and down, and now she found her love and lives in happiness. I am happy that I can present the song that she likes in her wedding as a gift.

However, at the same, I am grateful that I can do favourite activites, eat delicious food, meet old friends repeatly, especially after the disaster of last March.
A lot of good memory happened in these two sweet homes. Thank you, my dear friends who spend time with me during my short visit.

Best Japanese friend in town

Last weekend, my best Japanese friend, Mami and her husband, Naga san visited Singpoare during her transit flight from Maldive Honeymoon trip.
I was so excited as I can meet Mami again to enjoy the food, scene and conversation with her.
Mami always says '大丈夫' to releif my feeling. It is simple, but meaningful Japanese words to me. She is always so positive and cheerful gal that gives me energy.
Someone says 'Being best friends does not mean to have endless topics, but not feeling embrassed even nothing to say.' I feel comfortable with Mami, even there is nothing to say for some time. But when we have topics, we understand each other's feeling very much.
Having more time with Naka san, he is a detail minded, kind and like eating person, like Mami. I am happy to see Mami's happiness with Naka san.
They are the best models in my photos, there are so much fun and smiles in taking photos with them.
I am glad that they like Singapore and hope they would be able to visit me again.

Change in work

One year ago, my boss wanted me to shift to SNS to help him when he promoted to in charge of this banner also. Finally, one year later, he empolyed one to replace me in Giant. So I started to work in SNS banner on 4 April.
SNS is a chained supermarket which started to be under Giant's management from 2 years ago. After this change, the P&L is being review separately, instead of combined to analyze like before with coldstorage. It showed that it is loss making business when stand alone.
I heard of a lot of reasons of it. For example: poor discipline, too much gossip, politics, inexperience staffs etc.
Now, it is time for me to expose to the environment to know the truth, analyse and contribute to the business. I have to help in turning over the business, otherwise, I may not have bonus next year ><
I used to do the checklist and guidelines by myself. Now, I have to manage my 2 fresh specialists, i.e. develop my own team. Like my boss said, I have to manage people from now on, instead of doing the things by myself.
It is a great challenge, but I am not afraid of that. As I never afraid of failing in work, I can restart at any point but just make sure I try my best and do something meaningful for the people, the company to enjoy the work.
And I think it is the good timing to have such change. I was in Giant for 4 years and I have developed my team in certain extend. So the routine would become boring sometimes.
So even the future is unclear, there would be bad and tough times. I wanted to have such move!
